2 killed, 15 injured in bomb explosion in Chaman

CHAMAN: Two persons were killed and 15 including 1 woman injured in an explosion at Railway Station here Wednesday. Chaman is 75 miles north of Quetta bordering Afghanistan.

According to details an explosion occurred at ticket window of Chaman Railway station today. Blast was so big it was heard in near and far.

Two persons were killed in the explosion. They were identified as Kamran and Nazeer Ahmed. Fifteen others including one woman were injured. They are Syeda Bibi wife of Bashir Khan, Idris, Hayat Khan, Amanullah, Wali Jan, Rozi Muhammad, Bahadur Khan, Muhammad Nabi, Haji Fazal, Muhammad Rasool Boldak, Afghanistan and three others whose identity could not be known. These three were referred to Quetta for treatment.

A room of railway station and roof of veranda were collapsed. A vehicle parked at the platform and two motorcycles of Railways employees were also destroyed in the explosion.

Parts of human bodies, blood and shoes and chappals were spreading on the scene of explosion.

Police, Levies, fire brigade and people started relief and rescue and shifted dead and wounded to District Headquarters hospital here.

Deputy Commissioner Daud Khilji, DPO Atif Ikram visited the spot and monitored the rescue activities.

ANP leader Asghar Achakzai who visited the hospital told Reporters that killing innocent and unarmed people is inhuman act. Neither Islam nor any society including Pashtoon allows such acts of barbarism.
