200-bed Jinnah Institute of Cardiology to be established: Buzdar

A high-level meeting on the development of the hospitals of Lahore, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar, was held in Lahore on Thursday.

The meeting decided to establish a medical tower in Jinnah Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Usman Buzdar said a 200-bed Jinnah Institute of Cardiology will be established in the medical tower of the Hospital.

He said a new building of the Sheikh Zayad Hospital Rahimyar Khan will be built at a cost of six billions rupees.

He said pharmacy of the Jinnah Hospital will be expanded and renovation of the OPD, Indoors and outdoors of the hospital is being undertaken.

The Chief Minister directed to speed up the pace of work on the emergency ward of the Mayo Hospital and renovation of the wards of the Gangha Ram Hospital.

He advised to resolve the issue of the young doctors through talks.

The Chief Minister also announced to upgrade the Children Hospital to the University of Child Health Sciences.
