Khartoum In a move to increase the volume of banking exchange between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates after obtaining the approval of the Central Bank of Sudan, Al-Khaleej Bank-Sudan has embarked on the establishment of a branch in the UAE.
“The next stage will witness the completion by Al-Khaleej Bank-Sudan the UAE requirements for the opening of the bank’s branch there,” Shaza Abdul-Al, the public relations manager at Al-Khaleej Bank-Sudan, told Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
Shaza pointed out that Al-Khaleej Bank-Sudan was the product of a UAE-Sudanese partnership that represents an extension of the economic exchange between the two countries, which started decades ago. She explained that the timing of this step serves the banking sector in Sudan that drives toward a new economic era following the lifting of US trade sanctions, and the country’s great openness to other states.
