Promotion of higher education top priority of Govt: Baligh

Punjab Governor Baligh ur Rehman says higher education is the PML-N government’s top priority and it has increased the funds to promote it.

He stated this during a meeting with delegation of social media team, led by Governor’s Digital Media Coordinator, Hassan Malik.

He said we took a difficult decision to come into power along our allies, to save the country from economic crisis.

Nine coaches of Special Sikh Yatri Train derailed

Nine coaches of the Special Sikh Yatri Train, coming from Karachi to Nankana Sahib, got derailed between Shorkot and Peer Mahal stations this morning.

According to a spokesman of Pakistan Railways, no casualty and injury have so far been reported.

He said due to immediate action by the Railways administration, most of the passengers have been adjusted in the first portion of the Train, and dispatched to Nanka Sahib.

Under directions of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, a three-member Inquiry Committee has been set up to probe into the incident.

Govt eliminated scourge of terrorism with support of armed forces: Tessori

Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori says it is because of efforts and sacrifices of Armed forces that terrorism has been eliminated from the country.

Addressing a Launching ceremony of the book “Gumnam Sipahi” written by Hassan Ali Agaria in Karachi, he said Pakistan army restored peace by rooting out terrorism from Karachi, Wana, Balochistan and other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of Pakistan Council of foreign relations, Kamran Tessori called for joint efforts to project a positive image of the country in the World.
