26 vigilance teams constituted to monitor 206 exam centers

HYDERABAD: The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed has directed all the Deputy Commissioners of his Division and the Educational fraternity jointly to adopt foolproof preventive measure to curb the unfair means and copy culture in forthcoming Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education BISE Hyderabad SSC PartI & II Annual Examination 2013 will commence from April 8, 2013.

This he directed while presiding over a meeting about security measures at Examination Centers during the forthcoming Board’s examination in Hyderabad Division at Shahbad Hall, Shahbaz Building today. Addressing the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad said that Cr. PC 144 would be applied to prohibited movement of unconcerned persons near the examination centers. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to prepare security plan in consultation with concerned District Police Officers and also to appoint focal persons. He directed them to convey the names and contact numbers of those focal persons where examination centers are established and also to the Board management.

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed also directed the Deputy Commissioners not to allow any person to enter or exists from the Examination Centre after start of examination time. He also asked them to coordinate with local media men for maintaining code of ethics.

He directed the BISE Administration to ensure that seating capacity, required staff and exam material is available at each examination centre. He also directed them not to allow non teaching staff in the examination centers. He directed the officers of education department to coordinate with government / private school managements and to ensure transparent examinations in the division. He also directed the HESCO authorities to exempt the examination centers from the load shedding and even arrange alternate energy in case of technical fault.

After discussion and deliberation, the meeting decided to empower the superintendents of examination centers to lodge FIR against the culprits found in impersonation, replacement of answer copies, creating disturbance and violating section 144 Cr. PC at concerned Police Station.

The Chairman BISE Hyderabad Prof. Abdul Aleem Khanzada while briefing the meeting informed that 26 vigilance teams have been constituted to monitor all 206 examination centers at Hyderabad Division where 1,13,985 students are appearing in the examinations. He said that a one day seminar had also arranged on April 2, 2013 for guideline & training of the superintendents of examination centers. Besides a Control Room has also been established in Chief Minister Sindh Secretariat Karachi with Telephone No.02199207568, 99202065, 9920208182, 9920205105 and Fax Nos.02199202007 & 99202000.
