27 caught while cheating, two invigilators suspended

KARACHI: Super Vigilance team of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi BIEK headed by Prof Anwaar Ahmed Zai on Tuesday caught 27 candidates for cheating in Higher Secondary Schools Certificate HSC examinations in Karachi and suspended two invigilators on the spot.

BIEK spokesman said in a statement that the team ordered action against candidates involved in cheating and launched departmental action against the invigilators. The team also ordered to delink suspended invigilators from invigilation work.

Super Vigilance team visited Government Delhi Boys Degree College Hussainabad, Delhi Boys Commerce and Science College Kareemabad and Government Degree College 5L New Karachi and found 27 students while committing cheating in the examination.

It found cheating material fixed beneath the desks, which was pasted with solution tape. Additional Commissioner Rubina Asif, Controller of Examination Muhammad Imran Chishti, Secretary Board Qazi Hussain Siddiqui and Assistant commissioner central Syed Ishrat Hussain were also present on the occasion.
