29% of car owning Pakistanis who primarily use CNG say they don’t operate their vehicles when CNG is closed, Poll

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 29% of car owning Pakistanis who primarily use CNG say they don’t operate their vehicles when CNG is closed.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women (who own a car and primarily use CNG), from across the four provinces was asked “What do you do when the CNG is closed?” Responding to this, 71% say use petrol for the vehicle compared to 29% who replied they don’t use their vehicle during this time.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 124 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Feb 03, 2014 – Feb 10, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
