Advisor for pulling SESSI from crisis

KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Labour, Asghar Ali Khan Junejo, has urged social security officials to take effective steps to pull Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) from crisis so that registered and secured workers could get maximum benefit from it.

Addressing an introductory meeting at social security head office here on Tuesday after assuming the office of labour ministry, the advisor said that secured employees and their heirs should be provided with all possible facilities.

He stressed the need to ensure registering maximum number of employees working in industries and trade organization under social security scheme so that they could get maximum medical and financial benefits.

During the briefing, the advisor was informed that 673,383 secured workers and their 3,366,915 heirs were registered under social security scheme for which the organization was spending 73% of its budget in lieu of medical facilities.
