AJK: CBMs, cross LoC trade not enough to satisfy Kashmiris: Majeed

Muzaffarabad: The Prime Minister of AJ&K Ch Abdul Majeed has said CBMs, people to people contact, crossLOC trade are not enough to satisfy the Kashmiris.

He said that India is not sincere about CBMs. All these are the tactics to delay the solution of the Kashmir issue. All these are to keep its control on Kashmir” he said.

He stated this while addressing Participants and families of National Security and War Course at a local hotel on Sunday. Members of the Cabinet, Chief Secretary AJK, Mr. Alm ud Din Ballo and Secretaries were also present at the occasion.

The Prime Minister said the People of Kashmir have a very strong relationship with their brothers in Pakistan. They are the people who have supported us morally, financially, and politically during last 60 years. They have fought three wars for Kashmiris. They have supported them in 2008 earthquake. And they were always there when Kashmir and Kashmiris needed them.

“On the other hand, India has been violating the UN resolutions for the last 60 years. It has been killing Kashmiris, their men, their women, their children, their young and their old. Its forces have been torturing them, putting them behind bars, hanging them on gallows, and molesting their women” he maintained.

He said that for India this is their crime. So it is taking its revenge from the innocent Kashmiris. On the other hand, India is violating the UN resolutions which call for a plebiscite in Kashmir and which call for the right of self determination for Kashmir. India is violating these resolutions for the last 60 years. The Kashmiri struggle is peaceful.

Kashmiris have decided that they will continue their struggle till they achieve their goal. They will struggle for 100 years but will not sit back, and will not leave their peaceful struggle he said, he added.

I call upon the Indian Govt to withdraw its seven hundred thousand forces from Kashmir. I call upon India to respect their right of freedom; respect their right of speech; respect their right of selfdetermination; respect their basic rights.Ch Majeed said. “India is not sincere in maintaining peace in the region. If it was serious it would solve the Kashmir issue by sitting with Kashmiris right on table; by talking to them; and, by listening to them.

He declared that CBMs, the people to people contact, crossLOC trade are not enough to satisfy the Kashmiris. India is not sincere about CBMs. All these are the tactics to delay the solution of the Kashmir issue. All these are to keep its control on Kashmir” he said.
