Akhtar Mengal, Hamal Kalamati take oathAugust 28, 2013
QUETTA: Two Balochistan National party leaders Sardar Akhtar Mengal and Hamal Kalmati took oath as member provincial assembly here Wednesday. Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali administered oath.
Speaking on the occasion Akhtar Mengal said so long we take oath of loyalty with the soil how can we be loyal with the country. He said today again he has taken oath as member provincial assembly. It is a difficult task. May Allah enable him to succeed.
He said sons of this soil who have provided shelter to people of the world are compelled to take political refuge in other countries of the world.
He said sacrifices given by Nawab Akbar Bugti, Habib Jalib, Nawab Noroz Khan and others are known to us very well. He would do his best to come to the expectations of the people.
He said he has taken oath as member of assembly after 15 years. He said an atmosphere of fear prevails in Balochistan. It was a beautiful province which has been converted into graveyard. Our delights have been snatched. Mutilated dead bodies are found and people kidnapped. For how long we would tolerate this. He said oath he took now says he would remain loyal to the country. He said he would like to say unless we take oath of remaining loyal with the soil on which we live, how can we with the country.
He said he was thankful on views expressed by Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and other members in his favour.
Earlier leader of the house and Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch lauded Sardar Akhtar Mengal for taking oath as member of the House and said both Sardar Akhtar Mengal and his father Sardar Attaullah Mengal are respectable. He said he congratulates Sardar Akhtar Mengal for taking oath as member. Being Chief Minister His services for the people of Balochistan as Chief Minister are appreciable. He hoped that he would continue his efforts as member of the House. He would make positive criticism on the government and would also appreciated positive work we would do.
Chief Minister said Hamal Kalmati is a young man. He had played an important role in the previous assembly and would guide us now.
