AKOCP distributes six thousand rupees among orphans of war affected areas

Peshawar: AlKhidmat Orphans Care Programme AKOCP distributed cash amount of six thousands rupees and schoolbags among war affected orphans of Khyber Agency.

In this regard, a function was arranged by the AKOCP here at Press Club on Wednesday, in which 19 orphans from war affected areas of Khyber Agency. Other orphans from the Agency could not attend the function due to curfew clamped in Tehsil Bara of the agency.

President of AKOCP, Lala Akbar Afridi, Shah Jehan Afridi, Javed Afridi and Sabir Khan Afridi said that the distribution of school kits and cash amount among orphans had no connection with election campaign of Jamaat-e-Islami.

They said Al Khidmat Foundation had been providing such facilities to 103 orphans of the agency and hoped that the programme would extend however it depends on donors and philanthropists. Schools expenses of these children from elementary to Matric will be given by AKOCP, they informed.

The AKOCP, they said is a project of Rs30million for the orphans from whole of the Country.

They maintained that AKF had also distributed sewing machine among widow of war affected as well as other widows from Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and tribal belt

They, therefore, appealed to all philanthropists and donors for generous financial assistances to AKOCP so that these helpless children could be provided financial supports and they would continue their study.
