Ambassador of Netherland visits Sialkot dry port trust

Sialkot: Ambassador of Netherlands in Pakistan Mr. Marcel De Vink on Friday visited Sialkot Dry Port Trust during the last day of his two-day visit to Sialkot here. Dutch Ambassador discussed in details the matters of mutual interest with Muhammad Ishaq Butt (Chairman Sialkot Dry Port Trust). On this occasion, the Envoy revealed that a delegation of leading investors and traders from Netherlands will visit Pakistan in April 2014 (next month) to assess the possibilities of their massive investment and starting some joint ventures in different trade fields in Pakistan. Mr. Marcel De Vink narrated that the Netherlands is a gateway to Europe and revealed that Netherlands is 6th largest foreign investor in the world. “We wanted to see the Pakistani economy growing and developing”, he added. Dutch Ambassador also visited the Sialkot International Airport here today. Addressing a meeting of the management and Directors of the Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) the Envoy said that the Netherlands intended to have developed and strengthened mutual trade relations with Pakistan, saying that the Netherlands would ensure the easy access of Sialkot exporters to EU and Netherlands markets, in this regard.
