American think tank pays rich tributes to Allama Iqbal

Sialkot: An American think tank Ms. Sharon Hamilton Getz Chairperson USA’s International Social Development Institute for Education Development) visited the 148 years old Iqbal Manzil the birthplace of Allama Iqbal the Poet of the East) in Sialkot.

She paid rich tributes to Allama Iqbal for his marvellous services rendered to religion, philosophy and poetry as well. Muhammad Ejaz Noori (Chairman Pakistan Council for Human Rights), Bilal Khan, Syed Riaz Husain Naqvi (Incharge Iqbal Manzil Sialkot) and senior journalists were also present on this occasion.

On this occasion she said that the teachings of Allama Iqbal are like a beacon of light to maintain tolerance, peace and stability in the society. She said that youth of the nation should transform themselves into Iqbal’s philosophy and strive for self reliance within own resources and emphasized austerity envisioned by Allama Iqbal. Ms. Sharon Hamilton Getz stressed that Pakistan can only be redeemed through emulation of Iqbal’s vision on democracy, human excellence and self reliance as perpetual rule of dictators weakened the national institutions, especially democracy.
