Annual convention of Lions Clubs International held

KARACHI: The 24th Annual Convention of Lions Clubs International, Multiple District 305 was held at Karachi Marriott hotel recently. Multiple Council Chairman, MD305 Pakistan Lion M. Raza Ali, said corporate sectors and people from different companies are interested to work for the masses under the platform of Lions Clubs International because of the fact that members of the clubs are doing their sincere efforts to provide relief to the masses and to empower the poor peoples.

He said that philanthropists at Lions Clubs have done great job towards welfare of the masses and has left no stone unturned to achieve their targets which have been surprisingly exceeded. The businessmen from various sectors who have become members of Lions Club International are joining their hands to donate their resources, skills and expertise for the welfare of the masses in true letter and spirit.

Past International Director Lion Naresh Agarwal, said the relationship of India with Pakistan is very important for members of Lions Clubs because it helps the efforts of serving humanity of the both sides of the border to the philanthropists. Pakistan matters a lot for India hence businessmen, people of the corporate sector and members of lions should enhance their efforts to bridge the gulf between the governments of both sides in the best interest of masses, he said.

Chairman Convention Committee Lion Arfan Ali Rashid said that the unity and coordination among the members of lion clubs will not only make them prominent for being a noble organization for humanitarian efforts but it will result of prosperity and development of the countries in Pakistan and India alike.

Lion Fasihul Karim Siddiqi said that the Lions Clubs members should come in front to extend assistance to poor masses whatever they could do but they should try to win the hearts and minds of the people through their gestures.
