Appeals filed against Musharraf nomination papers from Chitral

Peshawar: Jamat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek –e-Insaf on Wednesday filed appeals I election tribunal against the acceptance of nomination paper of former president General ® Musharraf from NA32 Chitral.

Jamaat-e-Islami candidate from NA32 Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and PTI nominee from the same constituency Abdul Latif in their separate appeals submitted with election tribunal sough disqualification of General Musharraf from NA32.

In the appeal it had been argued that General Musharraf had abrogated the constitution and he had been charged in FIRs for Bugti’s and Benazir Bhutto murder.

It was stated in the appeal that with General Musharraf arrival in Chitral for election campaign could sabotage the peaceful situation in Chitral and create law and order issue.
