Jerusalem (UNA-OIC) Arab Israeli lawmakers will boycott US Vice President Mike Pence’s speech to the Knesset on Monday, member of the Knesset’s Joint (Arab) List Dr. Yousef Jabareen said.

Jabareen said, in an interview with Voice of Palestine Radio, that this position sends a clear message to the local and international community the rejection of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The lawmaker noted that a meeting of the Joint List lawmakers will be held to issue a statement explaining the form of protest against Pence’s speech. He added that a number of local events will also be organized.
