Asif stars in DIB win in Banker’s Champion League

Karachi: Asif Siddiqui first blasted 36 off only 12 balls and later grabbed two wickets to help Dubai Islamic Bank beat Faysal Bank by 46 runs in QMobile 2nd Banker’s Champions League here on Sunday at RLCA Gulberg ground.

Batting first, DIB put on board a competitive total of 2035 in allotted 20 overs. Apart from Asif’s quick 36, Faisal scored an unbeaten 50 off 18 balls.

Faysal Bank in response scored only 1579 in 20 over’s. Aashir top scored for the side with 34 uns. Aziz captured three wickets while Asif and Shakeel captured two wickets each.

Meanwhile, Bank Islami defeated HSBC Bank by 20 runs after putting on board 1519 in 20 overs. HSBC scored 131 runs losing all of their wickets in 19.4 overs. Talha top scored with 35 runs while Majid captured three wickets for the victors in the match.
