Bahrain: Arabian Gulf University to host first Internal Medicine Conference

Manama The Manama-based Arabian Gulf University (AGU) will organize the first Internal Medicine Conference on March 22-24, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The conference aims to support the capabilities of doctors and to inform those interested about latest therapeutic developments relevant to this vital specialization.

Dr. Amjad Al-Baz, head of the Internal Medicine Department at AGU College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, said that 40 experts from different countries will present topics related to all internal medicine subspecialties. He added that more than 240 physicians, specialists and researchers in internal medicine from the region are expected to participate in the event.

The conference is expected to come up with a series of important recommendations that will bring about innovative treatment solutions for all diseases prevalent in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
