Naudero, Sindh: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that democracy is the best revenge and the worst democracy is better than the best dictatorship.

He was addressing a big public meeting at Ghari Khuda Bux on the death anniversary of his mother Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. He said the children of Benazir Bhutto would take part in practical politics before the coming general election. He said the politicians nurtured by dictators believe in the politics of power. He said his party has given sacrifices but defended the country. He said we will purge this country of terrorists. He said his father Asif Ali Zardari by raising the slogan of ‘Pakistan Khappi’ saved the country. He said people should thank Asif Zardari for democracy.

He said the establishment did not want to see PPP successful in the last elections. He said the last elections were not transparent. He said he always consider his party workers as the best asset. He said ‘Punjabi establishment’ had gone against them and he, besides Altaf Hussain and Asfandyar Wali was forced to run electoral campaign through video link. He said his party would not allow derailing democracy in Pakistan and supporting Mian Nawaz Sharif in this regard. He criticized the policy of privatization, saying giving national assets to friends was not privatization but personalization.

Speaking on the occasion, former president Asif Ali Zardari said he does not want to find the solution of problems in mid-term elections. He said it is not a joke that an elected prime minister was handcuffed. He said from the creation of Pakistan, the political forces are pitched against one another. He said the government should be supported to fight a particular mindset. He said Talibanization is thriving due to poverty. He said his party would continue to point out the weaknesses of the sitting government inside and outside parliament. He said we should have to fight jointly to save the country. He said Mian Nawaz Sharif alone cannot win this battle and we all have to support him.
