Business: Budget be implemented after Ramzan: FPCCI

Islamabad: The members of FPCCI Standing Committees on Small traders and cottage industries & Public Utilities demanded that budget be implemented after Ramadan.

A joint meeting of FPCCI Standing Committees on Small Traders and Cottage Industries and Public Utilities was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Atiq Mir and Mr.Asghar Morawala respectively on Tuesday.

The participants of the meeting including members of FPCCI standing Committees on Small Traders and Cottage Industry and Public Utilities strongly opposed the budget 2013 and said that this budget will increase inflation and problems for common man.

They also proposed reform in tax administration and removal of GST from food items. They strongly emphasized that federal Government use the departments under its control to overcome the deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi.

They said that small businessmen are not against fuel adjustment charges but refuse the mechanism of collecting it. They showed serious concern on excessive billing by KESC.

The meeting was attended by Senior Vice Chairman and members of FPCCI Standing Committees on Small Traders and Cottage Industry and Public Utilities.
