Business: Sindh Mango festival to be held in Malaysia today

Islamabad: A Sindh mango festival will be held in Malaysian capital today Tuesday. The festival which would be followed by the launch of the mango at select super stores and outlets of hyper market in Kuala Lumpur and elsewhere in Malaysia‚ is being organized by the Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) in partnership with Pakistan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

The festival is likely to be attended by a large number of visitors and representatives of upscale food outlets and hyper market as well as members of the diplomatic corps‚ trade bodies and business concerns dealing in the food sector.

Besides various popular mangoes such as Sindhri‚ Began Pali‚ Chaunsa‚ Langra‚ Anwar Retaul‚ Saroli‚ Dasehri and Sunehra grown in the southern province of Sindh‚ the festival would also feature display of a wide spread of mango delicacies‚ including mango ice cream‚ mango soufflé‚ mango mousse‚ mango trifle‚ mango tart‚ mango pudding‚ fresh fruit platter and mango cake.

A seven-member delegation led by Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Muhammad Zubair Motiwala and accompanied by leading mango exporters in the private sector is also visiting Kuala Lumpur to attend the festival and meet important stakeholders to explore avenues for synergistic cooperation at the halal sector‚ special economic zones‚ urban development and infrastructure‚ agriculture‚ livestock and food value-addition and energy.
