Call to end traffic gridlocks in KarachiJune 9, 2013
KARACHI: Acting Chief Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi Barjees Ahmed has demanded of the provincial government and other authorities concerned to take notice of the traffic gridlocks at different roads in the city and ensure prompt resolution of the issue.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, JI Acting Chief Karachi expressed his deep concern over the routine traffic jams at roads and urged the officials concerned to find out a permanent solution to the problem, so that the people could get the sigh of relief from this issue.
He said that the ambulances having patients could not reach at the hospitals timely due to the traffic jams and precious lives being lost through this nuisance. However; children, women and elderly persons are also trapped in the badly traffic jams at different roads in the city and face tremendous mental agony.
He stressed upon the need that the Sindh government along with the traffic police department should evolve an effective strategy to provide relief to the people from traffic jams.
