Caretaker Interior minister visits Chaman

CHAMAN: Caretaker Interior Minister Malik Habib has said movement from border area would be given more attention in a bid to improve lad and order situation in the country. All sorts of illegal movement would be completely stopped.

He said this during his visit to Chaman, a town bordering Afghanistan Sunday. He was received by Commandant Pishin Scouts Col Hyder Ali upon arrival at Chaman. He was given detailed briefing about movement from Afghanistan via Chaman.

Minister was told that six to seven thousand people cross border daily where FC has setup its posts and they are searched through scanners. Minister directed that for adopting effective security during the coming elections for which federal government would extend all possible cooperation.

He said since border is very vast therefore effective action should be taken against those crossing border illegally by deploying more reinforcement. Lauding morale of Frontier Corps Minister said security should be further coordinated with regard to border security.
