Punjab CM directs to take strict measures in view of forecast of rains


Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed to take protective and administrative measures throughout the province in view of forecast of rains.

In a statement, she directed all Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and MDs WASA for drainage of rain water.

She asked all concerned officials to remain in field.

KP CM directs concerned departments to remain alert during rain spell


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur has directed district administrations and other concerned departments to remain alert in view of upcoming rains spell in the province.

In a statement in Peshawar today, he directed to make arrangements in advance to minimize possible damage due to rains.

Ali Amin Gandapur said the instructions issued by PDMA should be strictly implemented.

He directed to ensure presence of staff of district administration and local bodies in the field and to constantly monitor the possible flood situation in rivers.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert about rains and snowfall in different parts of the province starting from today. The spell will continue till Tuesday.

IDB vows to complete projects in Pakistan at earliest


Islamic Development Bank has vowed to complete its projects in Pakistan at the earliest.

The expression was made during meeting of President Islamic Development Bank Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today, on the sidelines of special meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The meeting reviewed progress on ongoing projects and deliberated upon opportunities for future cooperation between Pakistan and Islamic Development Bank.

The Prime Minister thanked the Islamic Development Bank for its investments in Pakistan and appreciated the Bank’s assistance in rehabilitation after 2022 floods.

He said the Bank’s fruitful partnership with Pakistan is instrumental in achieving the government’s sustainable development goals along with providing support for reconstruction and employment.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Special Investment Facilitation Council is fully functional to channelize foreign investment in the country, address all concerns of for
eign investors and provide one-window operations.

On the occasion, the President of Islamic Development Bank said Pakistan is an important member of the Bank and is blessed with rich natural and water resources.

He said Pakistan’s large manpower is an asset to be utilized optimally.

KP CM expresses deep grief over loss of lives during recent rain spell


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the recent rain spell in different parts of the province.

In a statement in Peshawar today, he expressed sympathies with bereaved families.

The Chief Minister also announced a compensation amount for the heirs of deceased persons.
