’Cattle theft’ cop sacked

Naudero, Sindh: A police constable was dismissed from the government service by Senior Superintendent of Police, Larkana on proving of charge of his involvement in criminal activities, including cattle theft.

Police sources said constable Haroon alias Maroon Khakhrani along with five armed accomplices had entered the house of one villager Imtiaz Shaikh resident of village Shikari Shaikh located in the limits of Ketty Mumtaz police station at night hours a few days ago and after holding hostage family members stole buffaloes.

Imtiaz Shaikh identified the accused police constable and his associates and next morning filed a complaint with the SSP Larkana.

After inquiry it was established that the constable was involved in the crime. FIR was lodged at Naundero PS against Haroon Khakhrani, his son Gulzar, his two brothers Mehrab and Shaman Khakhrani and one unidentified person.

Naundero police on the orders of the SSP Larkana arrested accused constable Haroon Khakhrani and put him behind the bars.
