QUETTA: Capital City Police officer has asked voters to cast their votes without any fear as all arrangements have been made for security of voters and candidates during elections. He was addressing a Press conference here Friday. He said police has completed its preparations for election 2013. It is our Endeavour to provide security to all the candidates and voters’ confidence should be restored so that they could cast their votes without any fear.
We are now in a position to provide full assistance to Election Commission for holding transparent and just elections. He said Police, Balochistan constabulary and frontier corps troops would provide security to candidates. Fool proof security measures have been adopted for security of high profile candidates and party chiefs. According to an estimate more than 5500 security officials would perform duty on May 11. FC has also police powers and wherever there was need be it would play its role.
He said after exchange of fire on May 1 police arrested five persons and recovered weapons form their possession at Eastern B y Pass.
He said a boy injured in an explosion in Satellite Town on March 24 now in a better condition. He told that he went to plant a bomb at the site. He belonged to United Balochistan Army a banned outfit. This organization has also carried out bomb explosion with the help of children at different places.
