Clerks start protest in Larkana

Larkana: All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) has submitted their charter of demands and started their protest for acceptance of their demands.

They started a ‘pen-down strike’ throughout Larkana district on Thursday from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. They will again observe the same pen-down strike on March 13, 20, 27 and 03rd April, 2014. Their demands include allowing clerks and paramedics facilities of service structure & time scale, revision of their pay scales, award of utility allowance, award of house rent, medical allowance & conveyance allowance as per the scales of 2011.

They also demand group insurance & benevolent fund for retired employees, 33% son quota, establishment of clerks foundation. They also asked that all ad-hoc allowances should be adjusted in basic pay. Larkana district APCA President Aijaz Mirani told PPI that all clerks of his organization observed complete pen-down strike throughout the district in different departments which include Education, Population Welfare, Provincial Highways, Public Health Engineering, DHO, CMC Hospital, Sindh Small Industries, Local Government, Agriculture and Food department.
