CM grieved over loss by earthquake

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while expressing heartfelt grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives in Awaran, Khuzdar, Turbat and other districts from earthquake and directed administration in these districts to immediately start relief activities. He has directed PDMA to arrange dispatch of relief goods in affected areas.

He has directed administration in affected districts to carry out detailed survey in their respective areas and send reports of losses and inform Chief Secretary of the situation immediately. He has also asked Commissioner Kalat to rush to the affected area and monitor relief activities.

Chief Minister in a statement said Tuesday government stands with people at this hour of difficulty and no efforts would be spared for their assistance and relief. All resources would be mobilized for it. He aid in difficult areas where access by road is not possible relief activities would be carried out by Army helicopters.

Chief Minister contacted Chief Secretary by telephone and took stock of the situation arising out of earthquake and losses to life and property. He directed Chief Secretary to keep contact vigil on the situation and supervise relief activities and arrange supply of food, medicines, tents and other items of needs immediately with the help of PDMA.

He directed health department to send medical teams of doctors and paramedics to the affected areas.

Sympathizing with affected families Chief Minister prayed may Allah place departed souls in eternal peace and grant patience to the bereaved families to bear this loss.

He hoped that we would face this natural calamity with courage and patience. May Allah save us from more such calamities.
