CNS international squash championship from 16th

Karachi: Pakistan Navy has been continuously working to promote sports events in the country. In this respect several national level championships of sailing, shooting and golf have already been conducted. Players of Pakistan Navy also participate in International Championships and win laurels for the country.

Keeping its traditions, Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship is being held from 16th to 23rd Dec 13 at Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, Karachi, under the auspices of Pakistan Navy.

A press conference in this regard was held today and addressed by Commodore Saeed Ahmed, Commandant PNS Karsaz. Commodore Saeed Ahmed paid his gratitude to Chief of Naval Staff, Commander Karachi and Pakistan Squash federation.

He told media that the event will be conducted in four rounds namely pre-qualifiers, qualifiers, main rounds and the finals. Pre qualifying and qualifying rounds would be played from 16th to 19th Dec 13, main rounds on 20th Dec 13 while the final on 23rd Dec 13.

The prize money for the championship is worth US $ 15000/-. Top seeded players like Nasir Iqbal, Farhan Zaman, Amir Atlas Khan, Danish Atlas Khan are participating in the event. Besides, Pakistani players from UAE, USA and a player from Nigeria will also be competing for the title.
