Death toll rises to eight from six, as two injured succumbed to their injuriesOctober 6, 2013
SIALKOT: Two more inured persons including a woman, Waqar and Haseena Bibi , after this noon, were succumbed to their injuries at Mayo Hospital Lahore, raising death toll to eight from six of over night’s ghastly incident, in which some armed accused had shot dead as many as six persons including three women of a family, an infant girl and their two private security guards in village Chhani Gondal-Kulluwal, Sambrial tehsil here, late at the last night the night between Saturday and Sunday, over an old enmity.
Two injured Waqar and Haseena Bibi were shifted to Mayo Hospital Lahore due to their critical condition, where both of them were succumbed to their injuries. Their dead bodies were brought Sialkot for autopsy and were handed over to their heirs for burial.
The Airport police have not yet registered the case of this brutal incident despite the passage of 24 hours.
When contacted, Muharrar Muhammad Naseer of Airport police station told the newsmen that the Airport police have not yet registered a case of this tragedy saying that no one has yet submitted an application for registration of a case, in this regard.
Meanwhile, SP Investigation Sialkot Asad Sarfraz Khan told the newsmen that the police have arrested an accused Abid Pathan and further investigations are underway.
Earlier the Airport police handed over the dead bodies to the heirs for burial. All the slain persons were laid to rest in their native graveyard at village Chhani Gondal-Kulluwal, Sambrial tehsil here Sunday, amid tight security.
