District: Firdous criticizes PML-N government for hatching revenging activities against her

Sialkot: Former Federal Minister Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has strongly criticized PML-N government for hatching revenging activities against her and she has pledged to continue here battle for rights of the people at every level.

Talking to media persons that Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that district administration of Sialkot on Tuesday had “confiscated” as many as twelve buses being owned and run by her NGO namely “Shade” for the public welfare on no profit no loss bases.

She said that the former Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani had donated the said buses to the people of Bajwat-Sialkot with a sole aim to provide them the better travelling transporting facilities, in this regard.

She said that the PPP government had transferred all these buses to her NGO “Shade” after meeting with all the legal requirements and formalities , under the Grant-in-Aid in this regard. The buses were running to transport the schools’ students.

She termed this step of Sialkot district administration as a revenge able political act against her by the PML-N government. She vowed to retrieve the said confiscated buses from the district administration. She said that the said buses were still meant for the people as the buses were not the personal property on any political figure.

While, the Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu said that the buses were being misused and the said NGO was collecting the rent from the people and the students illegally due to which the district administration of Sialkot “confiscated” the said buses from the NGO and took the buses into official custody. Now, the buses were parked at the Police Lines Ground Sialkot, in this regard.
