District: Govt. releases Rs.1 billion for Sports City Project: Ch. Ehsan Iqbal

Sialkot: The PML-N government has released a special development funds of Rs. 1 billion for early establishment of an advanced Sports City at Narowal on 46 acres of land along the main Narowal-Muridkay Road for promoting the indoor and outdoor sports and games in the local backward areas.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ch. Ehsan Iqbal disclosed this while talking to the newsmen after reviewing the pace of construction of this project. He said that early establishment of this Sports City near Narowal would also open the ways of holding the international mega sports events there.

Replying to a question, the Federal Minister revealed that the PML-N government was removing all the technical and legal hurdles from the way of holding the peaceful elections of the Local Bodies in this regard.

He said that government was also finding out the amicable solution to burning of issue of the drone attacks by the USA through holding peace talks with all the stake holders.

Earlier addressing the participants of annual prize distribution ceremony held at Govt. Girls High School Narowal, Ch. Ehsan Iqbal narrated that the district government of Narowal has also allocated a chunk of Rs. 3 billion for the promotion of quality education and ensuring the easy access of the students to the local governmental educational institutions in Narowal district , besides, enhancing the literacy rate in the prolonged neglected and backward areas of this bordering district as well. He inaugurated a hall newly established with total cost of Rs. 7.5 million at this school.
