District: PML-N, PTI determined to give tough time to each other

Sialkot: Both PML-N and PTI were making high claims to give tough time to each other in the coming by-elections schedule to be held in Constituency PP 123, Sialkot-III on August 22.

As many as five candidates Mansha Ullah Butt (PML-N), Muhammad Dawood Pervaiz (PTI), Haji Mushtaq Ahmed Mughal (PPP) Ch. Yaseen Gujjar and Hafiz Muhammad Raza (independent) are in the race, as the election campaign was on its peak in this constituency. The candidates were going door-to-door for seeking votes from the people. However, the local independent political observers, the PML-N would have a clear edge over the PTI and PPP here ahead of the by-polls here.

Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has vacated this seat by attaining his national assembly seat (NA 110, Sialkot-I) after winning both of these seats (one national assembly and one provincial assembly seat).

According to the Returning Officer (RO) Sialkot Nadeem Gulzar, there are 168246 registered voters in Constituency PP 123, Sialkot-III out of which the number of the mail votes is 94873 and 73373 were female votes. As many as 103 polling stations and 327 polling booths have been established for holding the Aug 22, 2013 free, fair, transparent, impartial and peaceful by polls in this constituency, he added
