Drugs and food testing laboratories setup in GB

Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly was informed on Thursday that Provincial Government has set up drugs and food testing laboratories for testing of drugs and foods samples.

This was stated by Chief Minister Hafiz-ur-Rehman while responding to a calling attention notice by Imtaiz Haider.

He said powers have been delegated to Magistrates to take action against the businessmen who are selling substandard medicines and essential commodities in markets.

Hafeez-ur-Rehman informed the house that eighteen billion rupees are being spent on development projects and works department has utilized hundred percent development budgets in the last six months.

He said under public sector development program one hundred and six billion rupees are being utilized on ongoing development schemes.

He said ninety two billion rupees will be spent on four development projects under CPEC in Gilgit- Baltistan.

The house will meet again tomorrow at 10.30 am.
