ECP meets today to review arrangements for by-elections

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan ECP would meet today Monday to review arrangements for by-elections. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani will preside the meeting.

The main agenda of the meeting is to discuss security‚ deployment of army in and outside the polling stations and the situation created by rains and floods. Meanwhile all arrangements have been completed to hold by-elections on seven constituencies National Assembly and Provincial Assembly of Sindh on Thursday.

By-elections are taking place on three National Assembly seats including NA245 Sanghar‚ NA237 Thatta and NA254 Karachi East‚ and four provincial assembly constituencies of PS12 Shikarpur‚ PS64 Mirpur Khas‚ PS95 Karachi West and PS103 Karachi Central. The polling will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M on Thursday without any break.
