Education demanded for sons of labours, peasants

Karachi: Education should not be limited to elite class only but the sons of workers and peasants also should be provided equal opportunities to get schooling, said Pasban Pakistan president Altaf Shakoor addressing a big Labour Day rally at Suhrab Goth here on Wednesday.

He said our religious stresses to respect the labour rights and asks to pay his wages before drying up of his sweat. He said Pasban has supported the electoral candidates who belong to labour and low income class. They include Khan Amir Bugti, Faizur Rehman Khan, Syed Ameen Shah, Abdullah Shiri and Suleman Nawaz.

He said the last assemblies in their five year tenure did nothing for the rights of workers and Haris. He said the ruling elite were indulged in the worst corruption of the history of Pakistan. He said the previous assemblies provide ineffective to get stopped drone attacks, or end load shedding or get Dr Aafia Siddiqui released.

He said there is a dire need that the working class should reject traditional politicians and create a new political leadership amongst them.

Shaikh Muhammad Shakeel, Muhammad Rasool Rasooli, Haji Nazik Mir, Yusuf Mughal, Naseem Agha and other leaders were present.
