Education standard to be improved, Minister Atif Khan

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Muhammad Atif Khan has said that steps will be taken to improve standard of education throughout the province. He reiterated his pledge to remove all flaws/hurdles in education system and encourage the management of prestigious private educational institutions in the province.

He expressed this view while chairing a meeting of Board of Governors of Peshawar Public School on Monday. In the meeting, a committee was formed to remove education related problems of Peshawar Model School and the committee was asked to submit its report within fortnight.

Atif Khan asked the concerned authorities of Elementary and Secondary Education to depute a Grade-20 Principal in the said school on temporary basis while to fill the vacancy permanently, the vacancy should be advertised immediately and selection be made under the law to uplift the standard of the said institution.

He also took strict notice of interference of police in the affairs of Peshawar Public School some days back and directed that in educational institutions the entry of non-relevant people should not be allowed. He also directed to regularly hold the meeting of Board of Governors of the school to resolve all other relevant issues.

Additional Secretary Education, Special Secretary Education, Director Education, P&D and officials of Finance Department attended the meeting.
