KARACHI: Parton in chief of Pakistan People’s Party PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his Eid Day message has said: “We bow our heads in gratitude to Allah on this day for blessing us with the bounties of the holy month of Ramazan. For the Muslims it is a thanksgiving day and I wish to greet all Muslims of the world on this occasion.”

Bilawal called upon the people to share the joys and bounties with their less fortunate brethren. “A festive occasion is relevant only when festivities and celebrations are genuinely shared with many”.

“On this occasion therefore I urge the countrymen to reach out to the families of martyrs and victims of fight against militancy and also to our grief and calamity stricken brethren whose lives have been shattered by recent torrential rains,” said Bilawal said.

He called the party workers and the people to step forward and help the victims of the fight against militants as well as the victims of incessant rains and flash floods in their hour of trial.

“On this Eid let us also spare a thought for those members of our armed forces, police, law enforcing agencies and civilians who laid down their lives in the fight against militants so that we may truly celebrate Eid in peace”. The best way to pay tributes to the martyrs is to forge a national consensus against militants and extremists and banish them from our midst, he said.

“May Allah in His infinite mercy grant our supplications and guide us to imbibe the spirit of Ramazan throughout the year and to employ that spirit in rebuilding the lives of the people devastated by extremists and militants and natural disasters”.
