Facts on Rawalpindi tragedy to be made public: Sanaullah

Islamabad: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the government is assessing the damage to property in the Rawalpindi incident to pay compensation to the affectees.

Talking to newsmen here Monday ‚ Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said the concerned committee will submit its report to the government within forty eight hours.

Deploring the loss of precious lives in the incident‚ the provincial minister said the death toll has risen to ten with the expiry of one injured today in the hospital. Fifty six others were injured in the incident.

Rana Sanaullah said a three member fact finding committee has also been formed with the task to interrogate junior to senior level police officials. Those found involved in negligence will be given punishment as per rules.

Appreciating the responsible role of media‚ the provincial minister said all the facts regarding Rawalpindi incident will be made public and the culprits will be brought to justice at all costs.
