Fifteen killed in Iraq clashes after Muqtada Al-Sadr quits politics

In Iraq, at least fifteen people were killed and scores injured in fierce clashes which erupted when influential Iraqi leader Muqtada Al-Sadr announced to quit politics.

A mob consisting of a huge number of protestors loyal to Muqtada Al Sadr stormed the government palace and clashed with security forces in the Green Zone.

Meanwhile, Iraq’s military imposed a nationwide curfew.
