Karachi: A fire erupted in a store of the city railway police station here on Thursday. Sources said that the huge fire damaged a large number of different articles kept in the godown.

Fire Brigades reached at the police station about 20 to 25 minutes late. Three fire tenders – one of Pakistan Railway and two of City District Government -extinguished the fire.

City Railway Police Station, station police officer (SHO) when contacted said that fire erupted in a rubbish dump and railways did not receive any loss. He said that someone might have lit fire at garbage outside the godown but unfortunately dried leaves and other rubbish also caught fire near the store.
