Firing incidents claim two lives in Karachi

Karachi: Two people were killed and two others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

According to police, one person was killed and five others injured when unidentified men barged into a house in Baldia Town and opened indiscriminate fire, here on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when five men having masks on their faces barged into a house in Rehri Goth area of Baldia Town and opened fire on the residents. The firing wounded Adnan, 45, Saleema Bibi, 30, Lubna, 27, Babar, 25, Munawar, 38, Ghazanfar, 20. Later, Adnan succumbed to injuries on his way to hospital. The bodies and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy and medical treatment.

Moreover, reasons behind the incident could not be identified, however, police officials said that motive behind the killings seems to be domestic dispute. No FIR had been registered till filling this report.

In another incident, unidentified men opened fire at a car near Khyber Bridge in Metroville area of SITE and killed 35-year-old Bahauddin. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a 35-year-old man sustained bullet wounds in Jhat Pat Market area of Lyari. The injured could not be identified yet. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
