Firing incidents in Karachi kill sixMay 24, 2013
Karachi: At least six people were killed and nine others injured in firing incidents across Karachi, on Friday.
According to rescue sources, two persons were killed near their residence in City Railway Colony area. The deceased, identified as Taj Munir s/o Qasim 35, and Hassan s/o Khattab 20, were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities.
An unidentified man was gunned down near Crown Cinema in Maripur area. The 17-year old was shifted to the CHK.
A 25-year old man was shot dead near Makki Mosque in Bihar Colony area. The body was shifted to the CHK.
In another incident, a gatekeeper of a towel factory was killed in Lassi Goth area of New Karachi. The deceased, identified as Ali Zaman s/o Mir Zaman 40, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A 3-4 days old body of a woman was recovered from a house in Chaman Colony area of Malir. The body of 35-year old, whose identity could not be ascertained, was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Hospital for further legal formalities.
Moreover, two children sustained injuries after unidentified men hurled hand grenade at a school in Orangi Town Sector-8. The injured, identified as Fatima 5 and Aziz 8, were shifted to Qatar Hospital for treatment.
Two persons named Rafiq s/o Shafiq 45, and Shehzad s/o Shafiq 50, were injured in a firing incident at Bismillah Hotel in Pak Colony area of the metropolis. The residents of Katchi Ground, Golimar were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A woman named Asma w/o Javed was injured in Block 2 area of Sohrab Goth. The 25-year old was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A person named Asghar s/o Rehman 30, sustained injuries in Pak Colony area of the city over resistance during a dacoity bid while in other incident Jehanzeb 28, and Shaukat 22, suffered bullet wounds near General Post Office in Gurumandir area. The injured were shifted to the CHK.
In Tori Bangash Colony, within the limits of Mominabad Police Station, a person named Sardar Khan s/o Gul Murad suffered bullet injuries. The 40-year old was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
