Flood water level continuously receding in flooded rivers

Sialkot: The flooded River Chenab has now become calm and cool near Sialkot as now the flood water level was continuously receding in the flooded Rivers Chenab Jammu Munaawar and Tavi and flooded seasonal Naullahs Dek, Aik and Palkhu flowing in Sialkot district.

The rescue activities were on by the district administration, Civil Defence and Rescue 1122 workers in the flood hit areas in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils here today. The district administration of Sialkot claimed that the entire flood situation was totally under control here.

District Officer Coordination Sialkot Malik Abid Hussain Awan told that the level of flood water on Monday dropped to a great extant to 67406 cusecs in River Chenab at Head Marala near Sialkot cusecs from overnight’s 86000. 6163 cusecs water flow was there in River Tavi near Saidpur-Bajwat here today.
