GENERAL ASSEMBLY APPROVES CREATION OF NEW UN COUNTER-TERRORISM OFFICE

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has approved the establishment of a new UN office to help member states implement the organization’s global counter-terrorism strategy.

Speaking on the occasion, President UN General Assembly, Peter Thomson said the resolution will ensure greater coordination and coherence across the UN system.
