Government working on 2025 programme to ensure energy security: Ahsan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that despite string of challenges‚ Pakistan has very strong foundations to become a progressive and vibrant country.

Addressing an international conference in Washington‚ he said independent judiciary‚ freedom of expression‚ a country-wise consensus on rule of law and upholding of constitution and a fresh urge to promote democratic institutions are the key indicators of a healthy state of Pakistan.

The Minister said the PML-N government is working on a 2025 programme under which it will ensure energy security‚ develop internal drivers of economy‚ encourage advancement in the fields of Science and Technology‚ focus on social and human resource development‚ and go for value addition in agricultural products. He said it will also improve service and industrial sector and expand this infrastructure.
