Govt: considers welfare organizations work for people valuable: Yousafzai

Peshawar: A representative delegation of “Save the Children” welfare organization called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai at his office in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by Country Director, “Save the Children” David Skenen. Additional Secretary Health, Dr. Anees and other concerned were also present on the occasion.

The Provincial Minister Health informed the delegation of the projects and schemes initiated for eradicating fatal diseases of cancer, diabetes and hepatitis in different hospitals of the province.

Country Director informed the minister of the aims and objectives of his organization and offered his assistance and services voluntarily in extirpating Dengue virus from Swat and creating mass awareness in this regard.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that the provincial government was considering the services rendered by private organizations and institutions for welfare of the people in the province as valuable. He thanked members of the delegation over their assurance of assistance in eradicating dengue virus.
