Govt striving for promotion of fisheries in Balochistan

Balochistan government is striving for promotion of Fisheries so that the province could be made self-sufficient in production of white meat and a considerable foreign exchange could be earned for the country.

The official sources told Radio Pakistan Quetta that, over one billion rupees have been allocated in the provincial budget for non-developmental while 739 million rupees have been allocated in the budget of current fiscal year for developmental projects.

The sources added that 150 million rupees have been allocated in the budget for master planning of costal stripe of Balochistan.

Similarly, 426 million rupees have been allocated in the provincial budget for purchase of sea ambulances and installation of monitoring system in the surveillance boats.
