Govt traps on name of political reconciliation: MehantiJuly 1, 2013
Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has said that the government is trapped on the name of political reconciliation and the terrorists are roaming freely without any fear of arrest.
He expressed these views during his visit to Old City area, Kharadar and other adjacent localities. Naib Ameer JI Karachi Raja Arif Sultan, Old City area Ameer Fateh Muhammad, Secretary Information Zahid Askari and other leaders of the party accompanied the JI Karachi chief.
Talking to area people, Mehanti said that despite spending billion of rupees on police, rangers and other law enforcing agencies LEAs, the people were unsafe, as the LEAs officials had completely failed to restore law and order in the city.
On the occasion, JI Karachi Chief met the people, shop owners, fruit and vegetable vendors and tea stall owners. They apprised JI Karachi chief of the terrorist incident that took place few days ago, in which the armed terrorists gunned down a worker of JI, Faisal Lot.
They also informed the JI leader about the rising incidents of extortion and terrorism. Mehanti assured them that his party would not only raise their voice on media, but also highlight their grievances on relevant departments and authorities concerns.
The area people and the traders’ community also informed the JI leader that those who bagged votes from their areas are not visited in their areas and not ready to listen their problems. Mehanti assured the area people and business community that the JI would not leave them alone and make utmost efforts to rid them of terrorists and extortionists.
JI Karachi chief also visited the residence of deceased JI worker Faisal Lot and met the father and brother of the deceased worker. He expressed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
