QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has undertaken restoration of historic Quaid e Azam Residency in Ziarat from its own resources with which nation has emotional attachment.

Impression carried out by a section of Press that Sadaruddin Hashwani was doing this job is not based on facts. Spokesman of Provincial Government said that their government praises Mr.Hashwani’s spirit of restoration of building which is a national monument and is thankful to them for it.

Balochistan government has constituted a committee headed by former provincial Chief Secretary Mirza Qamar Baig to give practical shape to steps for restoration of building to its original shape. This also includes well known architects, Engineers and experts of national heritage like Nayyar Ali Dada, Ms. Yasmin Lari and Kamil Khan Mumtaz. They have volunteered their services for this national cause. On behalf of the restoration committee prequalification of contractors from all over the country has been sought in this regard.

Recently members of the Committee Nayyar Ali Dada and Kamil Khan Mumtaz visited Ziarat and reviewed the situation. They have put forth their suggestions for restoration of the Residency to the Provincial Government and practical steps have been started in light of these recommendations.
